When used continuously the product will break up clays improving tilth. This makes the soil easier to handle and dig. It acts as a soil conditioner with its high humus content increasing nutrient content and water holding capacity.

Note: The product is not a growing media because it does not have a permanent structure.  For best results it should be mixed into the soil as a ‘conditioner’ to achieve the benefits outlined in this leaflet.

Gardens & Lawns

Apply 5cm layer over garden soil and mix in to the top 5cm of soil to assist water retention and nutrition.  Apply 2 to 5 mm over lawns and work with back of rake evenly.

Water well if possible or just wait for rain to wash product into the grass.

Trees and Shrubs

Place up to a 7.5cm layer keeping at least 30cm away from trunks of shrubs and trees.
